Coverlet Number Four: Betsy and Ben's Coverlet
My niece Betsy is getting married on April 20, 2002. For this coverlet I decided to try a summer/winter weave. The pattern is from "Keep Me Warm One Night" the classic book of Ontario handweaving. The coverlet in the book (#421 on page 314) is woven as a doubleweave. This requires 20 shafts, I have only 12. Woven in Summer/Winter it only needs 7.
